Abortion law reform

On 14/02/2020, the Abortion Select Committee sent its recommendations regarding the Abortion Legislation Bill to Parliament, recommending by a majority that it be passed with only very minor amendments. These fail to deal with substantive concerns raised by The Nathaniel Centre and the NZCBC in their submission to the Select Committee.

The sacramentality of adoption: A Trinitarian love

The article by Timothy O’Malley examines the nature of adoption, challenges the stigma associated with it, and suggests that adoption can be viewed as a strongly sacramental icon – an act of self-giving love on the part of the mother that infuses the child’s existence from the very first moment.
